Harbor Ridge Advisory

Privacy notice

LAST UPDATED: March 2026

Harbor Ridge Advisory, LLC (“Harbor Ridge”, “we”, “us”) provides treasury, liquidity and capital structure advisory services. This notice explains what information we collect through harborridgeadvisory.com and in the course of our work, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email jim.newman@harborridgeadvisory.com.

What we collect

  • What you send through the contact form: your name, company, role, email address, a description of your situation and how urgent it is.
  • What you share with us as a client: the financial and operational information we need to do the work you have engaged us for, which may include cash and bank data, forecasts, credit agreements, covenant calculations and management reporting.
  • Emails and documents you send us directly.
  • Basic visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without building a profile of you.
  • Spam protection: our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person rather than a bot is sending it. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as your IP address for that check.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not buy information about you.

Client confidential information

Most of what clients share with us is commercially sensitive and much of it is covered by a non-disclosure agreement or by the confidentiality terms of an engagement letter. We treat it that way by default, whether or not an agreement is in place.

  • We use client information only to perform the engagement it was given for.
  • We do not disclose it to anyone outside Harbor Ridge without your written instruction, except where the law requires.
  • We do not use your name, logo, figures or results in our own marketing without your written permission.
  • Where an engagement involves your lenders, sponsor or advisors, we share only what you have asked us to share with them.

How we use artificial intelligence

Harbor Ridge uses AI tools as part of how we work. We are specific about where, because most of what you share with us is confidential.

Public and non-confidential material — no permission needed. We use AI freely for market and peer research, reading published filings and rate data, and drafting or summarizing material that is already public or contains nothing confidential to you.

Your confidential information — only on the terms set in your engagement letter. Where an engagement involves AI processing of your confidential financial information, that is described and agreed in the engagement letter you sign, before the work begins. We use business-tier AI services under commercial terms that prohibit training on our inputs. We do not use free consumer AI tools for client work.

You can exclude anything, at any time. Tell us in writing which documents or categories of information to keep out of AI tools, and we will. You do not need to give a reason, and it does not change our fee.

What never goes into an AI tool. Information your own agreements with third parties prohibit you from passing on; access credentials of any kind; and personal information beyond what the work requires.

A person is always responsible. Every deliverable is reviewed by a person before it reaches you. The calculations that matter are performed deterministically and are traceable to their source — they are not generated by a model.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They handle information only to provide their service to us:

  • Cloudflare (website hosting, spam check, visit statistics)
  • Our email provider, for business correspondence
  • Dropbox (encrypted backups)
  • Paid AI providers, for public and non-confidential research and drafting as described above

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

How long we keep it

If we do not end up working together, we delete your inquiry within 12 months. For clients, we keep engagement records for as long as you are a client and then for up to 7 years for tax and business records, unless you ask us to delete something we are not required to keep. Our backups are encrypted and rolling; deleted files leave every backup within 35 days. We may use de-identified, aggregated lessons from our work — never your name, figures, documents or counterparties — to improve our methods.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing jim.newman@harborridgeadvisory.com. We will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them.

If we add a mailing list or newsletter in future, you will only be added if you ask to be, and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe.

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections and limited access to keep your information safe. No system is perfect, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

Harbor Ridge provides services to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
